Our Story

It started with pizza. It became something worth sharing.

I'm Greg, and Greg's Pizza & Bagel Joint grew out of a love for making pizza—and a determination to keep making it better.

Chris Bianco first inspired me to take pizza seriously. That inspiration turned into recipe testing, experimenting with dough, and paying attention to every part of the bake. I became just as interested in the crisp underneath a pizza as the toppings above it. The ingredients, the texture, and the balance all mattered.

As I shared my pizzas and the process online, I connected with a community of food lovers across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. What began with making food and sharing the results has grown into something bigger: building a pizza and bagel joint here in Charleston.

Pizza is at the heart of it, from deeply golden pan pies to cup-and-char pepperoni and crisp, flavorful crusts. Bagels bring that same attention to a different craft: hand-shaped dough, a proper boil before baking, and a browned crust with a satisfying chew. Whether I'm working on a classic cheese pizza or a roasted jalapeño bagel, the goal is the same—to make something you look forward to eating again.

We're preparing to launch with small-batch pizza and bagel preorder drops, keeping the menu focused and the quantities manageable so the food gets the attention it deserves. Carefully chosen ingredients and hands-on preparation are the foundation, not the finishing touches.

My hope is that Greg's becomes part of your routine: a pizza you bring home to share, bagels you look forward to, and a local business you feel connected to.
